ORION, Bataan — Police confiscated on Friday night more than 100 grams of “shabu” (crystal meth) and a handgun in a buy-bust operation in this town.

Orion Police Chief Major Madtaib Jalman said in a radio interview Saturday (Jan. 18) that the suspect bought the illegal drugs from Cavite province and San Fernando City in Pampanga province for distribution in Orion and other parts of Bataan province.

Jalman said the suspect had been previously arrested for the same charge.

“This is the fourth time he was arrested in a buy-bust operation,” he said.

The Bataan police official declined to identify the suspect.

A review of messages in the suspect’s cellphone confirmed that he is a ranking drug peddler not only in Bataan but also in the Central Luzon region, a police report said.

The suspect is facing criminal charges for illegal drugs and violation of the election gun ban.
