The match, that was held at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat, saw a bizarre moment when UP Chirag Stars' Chirag Gandhi, batting on 98, was almost dismissed.

MP Tigers bowler Pawan Negi's ball hit the stumps, but the bail did not fall off, astonishing many on the field as well as off it. The umpires were seen smiling at the incident that left many bewildered as to whether Gandhi was out or not.

However, the umpires allowed the batter to continue batting but his knock of 101 off 58 balls wasn't enough as UP Brij Stars lost the game. The side fell short by 71 runs, losing the game in the process.
