More than a year after parting ways for good with Kris Aquino, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste appears to have found love anew in TikTok personality Aira Lopez as they went official with their relationship on social media.

Leviste and Lopez hard-launched their relationship on the latter’s TikTok page on Saturday, January 25, where the politician asked the content creator to be his girlfriend over dessert during a romantic dinner.

After surprising Lopez with a bouquet of flowers and treating her to a fine-dining restaurant, Leviste surprised the content creator with a dessert plate that spells out the words: “Will you be my girlfriend?”

The Batangas politician was then served with the same dessert except his plate had the phrase: “She said yes,” written on it.

“Thank you, Mark, for filling my heart with joy. Despite our 20-year age gap, your bright outlook in life, compassion, and genuine commitment have given me a love I’ve never experienced,” she wrote in the video.

In a statement on Thursday, the BSP said that as of Oct. 11, 2024, the total coin collection has already reached P1.008 billion.

Lopez further claimed “age doesn’t define” their romance, saying she is looking forward to where their relationship will take them.

“Age doesn’t define us; happiness does, and I pray for God’s blessings as we journey forward together. No matter what others say, I am proud of you,” she said.

The TikTok personality added in her caption that her romance with Leviste was “an unexpected love.”

Last December 18, Lopez first appeared on Leviste’s IG post when the latter attended a UAAP basketball game between his alma mater De La Salle University and the University of the Philippines. While it was not clear if they were already a couple then, they could be seen making a run for the MRT to beat the Edsa traffic.

Leviste was previously in a relationship with Kris Aquino in May 2023 and broke up two months later. The ex-couple briefly got back together in October of the same year, only to end their romance for good a month later, with Aquino reiterating that she had to prioritize her well-being.

Aquino also denied Leviste’s statement in an exclusive interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer in November 2023 where the latter said he and the Queen of All Media are “still going strong.”

According to the TV host-actress, she chose to end their long-distance relationship as it was hard to maintain their romance amid treatments for her autoimmune diseases.

Meanwhile, Lopez is part of Sparkle GMA’s Statusubet63, the Kapuso arm that manages the careers of content creators including the Blackman Family and Aletheia Ambrosio, among other talents.
